He's a mixture of mostly mine and Khisanth's programs, with a few other members horses in the mix.

I can’t believe I’ve been playing H&J for 3 years, to this day!
Over the years I’ve grown much closer to everyone on here and appreciate the kindness you have shown to not just me but everyone that’s new and old. Thank you for being such an amazing community!

Unfortunately I won't be able to run a fun contest or game this year for my H&J anniversary, my RL craziness has packed my schedule so that I can barely get on here each day.

When did I start? Where am I now?
Three years ago, today, I started my account (AmberHaven300), my very first time being on this site. I became obsessed with pixel ponies and all of the pretty colors - which eventually caused my downfall. I didn't know what I was doing, and I had essentially set myself up for failure. I had no pointed horses, no horsebucks, and absolutely no good horses that people would be interested in. I had hit a standstill. To many of the horses I owned, I had a sentimental value towards them and I had many mini heartbreaks as I started to sell these horses just to get me by.

Since then, I’ve been able to get a new BC, many licenses, a 1k stall barn, and even afford multiple months of premium upgrade as I focus on my breeding instead of pixel ponies. Since then most of those pixel ponies have passed, but some still remain today and are now top show earners in my herd and on the leaderboards. Since then I’ve produced 2 Top producing studs (AH Lion X Charge & ReCharge), and countless mares that are shared throughout the community. Of these top horses, I have 2 double boosted horses, one being 15.5 PT, and I’ve been able to create many custom Chimeras.

I went from having less than 100k hbs in total, after 1 year in playing the game, to maxing the 9 Million game cap.

What happens next?
I plan to continue my occasional premium, creating many more top studs for the public, including another clone of my beloved AH Lion X Charge, before he passes. I plan to offer embryos from my double boosted pair to fund my stables for future top foals. I also plan to increase my number of show ponies and increase the spread of my Solstice breed name.

Besides Mesa Server, what have I been up to?
I have created a secondary account on mesa where I plan to grow a top line from other people’s lines.

On my Forest account, I’ve been focusing on creating and breeding a top Chimera line, offering 4 boosted studs to the public after joining in June 2023, and taking a year long break from that account. This account also includes a top-producing chimera mare (SHF Chocolate Mud Pie) who is my little baby girl on the server. Going premium is a thought I’ve had for my account, but I don’t feel like it’s necessary with how recently I’ve come back and the little progress already. I was so graciously supported by the forest community with many things besides for just embryos to start my herd (Thank you!).

Just recently I have created a Bluegrass account where I will focus on creating and breeding one of my dream horse genetics lines and eventually breed it up to a Double boosted 15.5 PT herd. I am currently working on my show herd and building my hbs, IVs, and GMTs supply before I begin to move forward. I plan to go premium for most of my breeding on this account.

What can you do?
I don’t expect you guys to do anything but continue supporting everyone and sharing the kindness around. You guys are so amazing that just typing this out makes me smile. Thank you! Thank you for everything you’ve done towards me and towards others! :)

Era Breeding Question

I started my first Era focused program with era 9 and I am hopeful to keep it up!

With the new era coming in December I am correct in thinking that all exceptional creates will be Era 9 now? That’s also the only way to add more foundations for Era 9?

Those of you that have Era programs, how do you handle this?
Do you stop adding foundations after the era changes?
Do you create exceptional foundations and breed them to existing Second Generation stock?
Do you toss your older foundations and replace them with exceptional horses?

Setting benchmarks for comparison testing

As I continue to refine my breeding program now that I've dabbled around with the game for 6 months or so, you have all been immensely helpful in answering my questions, so thanks in advance! I've searched and read a collection of threads on this topic on both Mesa and Forest but think I might be taking things too far and want to bounce ideas around.

I'm finally setting some boundaries for myself as far as what I choose to keep to breed to avoid the infinite ballooning of my breeding barns to unsustainable (unaffordable, LOL) numbers, and here's the current process I follow:
-Breeding advice
-Breeding inspection: keep everything that papers better than the same-sex parent (I recently learned this is not bulletproof to be superior)
-Comparison testing to sire or dam if same paper
-For stallion prospects, comparison testing to other stallions by same sire at same paper level; keep the superior one OR the most desired color pattern if AGA

For additional context, I'm breeding even generations. I don't mess with boosting yet.

I'm thinking this is somewhat thorough for stallions, but is definitely opening me up to collecting way too many mares. When they're getting to age 10, I at least go through and do a cull for color, and weed out anything that's not fully on brand now that I've finally narrowed down some of my options, but this is still going to fill my 250-stall G2 barn in a few more seasons.

Looking at setting a benchmark mare for comparison testing (eventually -- I'll need to work on a bigger show string to fund all of this LOL) but am curious how high to set this standard -- start with the best comparison-tested mare(s) from the same year in the same generation, and compare everything subsequent to that best mare? Or do this year by year within generations instead?

Do you keep only those that are AGA that bench mare? When you get a surprise that's superior to that bench mare, do you throw out everything including the old bench mare and make the superior horse the new benchmark?

As far as starting with good foundations: I know all Ex Perf foundations are the same; is there any point in including anything that ISN'T Ex Perf in the foundation herd if I want to set this kind of benchmark program for myself?

Having trouble making a purchase

I’ve been trying to purchase GTs for the last few days and after adding to cart when I attempt to move to the payment screen I’m getting stuck on a spinning lock icon. I’ve tried waiting it out with no luck. Removing items and starting over, logging out and I’ve waited a few days with no luck still.

Has anyone else experienced this or have any insight on things to try.
I have a colt I’d really like to boost before tomorrow night!

My first 15PT! + Questions

Super excited to have finally Bred my first 15pt Colt from an embryo I bought this morning and implanted in a pasture bonus mare.

Hopefully I’ll be able to achieve this with my own lines in the future but I am so thankful for others sharing quality horses.

Now I’m not new to the game but certainly newer to high quality horses like these guys.

My confusion is that the original colt tested worse than sire even after the boost so I went ahead and cloned him to boost again.
The clone tests AGA sire but has a much lower PT.

Should I alter the original to be a mare?
Is the clone still considered the better stallion with the Lower PT?
Will he be able to produce higher PT foals?

Anyone have Double Boosted Embryos Or Boosted Mares for sale?

Indigo Plateau Stables is a stable based out of Australia, likely originating as a front for a legally dubious distillery. The owner had a interest in horses and eventing, (and a general disregard for following rules) so many early horses were obtained, questionably from folks the owner didn't like, But she had a great passion and care for these horses asides from this, rehabbing many problem horses or rescuing those who were mistreated, and refining already high end horses to incredible champions, The modern stock of these horses are descendant from these both underdogs and high class stock horses.
The times of the lawless bushland have long since passed, the history of the distillery long in the past and the questionable legality left with it. the modern indigo plateau stables is focused mainly on horses and evening, and ensuring peak quality horses.

im a new player here, to be honest i have no clue what im doing, i just like pretty horses and pretending to have a barn, im also an artist, maybe interested in drawing horses.

What is your daily bonus?

I can’t say that I truly understood how low my daily bonus was until I saw some of the new quests/achievements.
I’ve managed to grow it a good bit here in the last little bit to 118,000hbs a day.

I’m super curious what the average bonus is for everyone and if you are still trying to grow it or happy to maintain where you are?

Any tips for growing it longer term?
I’ve bred some higher PT bootstrap foals this season to show and I’m hopeful that will help long term.

Renting out pasture mares with 30+ bonus
