I have this girl- I wasn't paying attention to her paper levels and spayed her. She is a 4th generation star but tested as good as her blue papered dam. I don't keep AGA dam/sires intact so it was an auto cull until I saw her paper level. I guess I thought if they were a higher paper, they were automatically superior to sire/dam? Is that not true? Or do the top and bottom levels of each paper level overlap somewhat and it can be a dice shot on whether they get blue/gold papers depending on how close their breeding ability is to each other?

I was looking through the era 0 champions brood mare’s and saw this girl of Ammit had won the championship so I went to look at her babies. It says she has 68244 offspring, which is pretty much the exact number of foundation horses in the game. Also all of her foals show that they are foundations. She’s the first horse created in the game.

I've spent the month gathering a couple of exceptional-producing stallions and around 20 mares, some of whom are exceptional producers and some of whom are just pretty (and have PTs in at least the upper 9s). Would the pasturing bonus raise my high-9s mares to the 10.4 PTs of my exceptionally-perfect mares? Am I better off using my 10 pasture slots to improve my less-perfect but interesting mares, or to improve my exceptional mares? How much of a bonus should I expect from pasturing, anyway?

Also, do I still get showing-bonus HBs from the pastured mares? I need the income - it's time to start saving for the next breeding season, and I don't have a lot of HBs.

He's passed SBA. I pulled straws from him for extra breedings. Out of 84 breedings, I have gotten a single foal that passed SBA. Am I just really unlucky, or is this a normal possibility even with passing SBA? Here's a link to his babies. Thanks for the insight, because I am baffled! :)
