Hi, I think I have a vague memory of seeing a few horses in this game with something that looked like bend-Or spots and Lacing, but I can't find the genes in the Horse Search. Are the patterns actually in the game and how can I breed them, please?

How does the straws limit work?

Hi there!
I always thought that the straw limit is per year pulled, for example I can pull 500 straws in year 72, then again 500 in year 73. Is this not how it works?
My stallions currently show non-zero number of maximum straws pulled even though I haven't pulled any straws this year. Is this a bug?

GMTing a chimera offspring

Hi guys

I was GMTing a horse today.
Sire is a chimera, with a different combo of RR on strand one to strand two.
The horse had inherited the gene on strand one, allele two. I wanted the gene on strand two allele two.
It forced me to use two GMTs to make the change.
First to strand two allele one, then to strand two allele two. There was no option to go straight to the gene I wanted.
Is this normal?
I hope that makes sense.

Inbreeding % question

I made a mistake last season and bred full siblings.. naturally the colt ended up highest pt for era 9 and is stunning. More than likely going to geld him as I’m trying for 0%.

Anyways. He shows as 53% inbreeding. Why isn’t it 100% ? His parents are full siblings.

So I’m just wondering what type of genes do people want to see for stud?

Obviously everyone has their own breeding lines & likes / dislikes, but I’m just curious as to what people think we lack genetic wise on their favourite colour of horses.

I personally would like to see more solid chestnuts & I like dilutes too personally (I’m in the process of breeding these), I was very much into my Appaloosa and Frames but I’m not so much anymore & I’m leaning my breeding projects away from this now.

What’s the genetics that you want to see more of? Why do you like them?

I've been doing a little snooping to see what recessive cream horses you guys have gotten so far and I noticed these 2 having "Pseudo" in their names. What does it mean? Is this a new color descriptor? Does it only work for rc horses?

Max breeding age

The FAQs state "Mares cannot be bred before age 4 or after age 20," which suggests that they CAN breed at age 20, but not after, aka 21+.
Also reading "Mares 20 years old and over will stay in the pasture but will not breed."

So mares AT age 20 can be bred live cover only, and via the pasture -- am I interpreting this language correctly?

I made a terrible mistake today and I feel so dumb.

While breeding a bunch of creates on the hunt for the new gene, I accidentally bred my only boosted mare to a random dilute stallion. I know it was my fault, she was missing the prefix on her name and I honestly thought I had pulled eggs from her (must have been last month).

Shes an older mare and so many seasons have already been wasted while I was away. Is my only option to write this month off as a loss? Ive sold the foal back to the game, but I dont think that solves the problem.

I must have accidentally refreshed or something and ended up purchasing double the IVs I needed hours later? Not sure how it can happen but now I’m concerned about funds headed into the next season to pull Eggs.

Is there a way to convert them back? Or someone interested in an IV boost or Similar for HBs?

Kit Gene overwhelm

Hi guys.

While I've been on hiatus, the whole kit section has been updated including names, presentation and lethality.

I'm honestly completely overwhelmed by the change, and don't know where to start for a practical understanding on the new genes.

I've lost quite a few foals this season to overloading kit genes, but not the foggiest which ones I need to start culling, or really which ones I still like. (This is in lines which didn't generally have a problem with lethality before I left)

Has anyone put together a current enough guide of the genes?

Im returning after a long hiatus, which means I am essentially restarting my breeding herds from the ground up.
I am on the lookout for a bunch of red based (ee) cob mares of breeding age.

Red papered foundations
Yellow paper foundations may be considered if they have interesting genes
Blue+ papered lined stock

Happy to pay 5k for foundies and 10k for lined, or open to negotiation.
I only have mushroom licence, so no fantasy stock thankyou. Anything with mushroom is a huge bonus and I am willing to pay well!
