What inspires your horse names?

I definitely use randomized names for some creates, and name lined foals after their parents, but I like to name horses after places I've been and things in nature, like birds and flowers, too. What inspires your in-game horse names? I'd love to see your favorites, too!

I have have two breeds one for the light pony horse and one for the draft/cob, I like the PRE art very much so I am thinking of adding a new breed for the med. boned horses, so I need help with a name, here are the names I am thinking of using.

these names are a play on Espanola, Iberian and of course Andalusian, so which name should I go with also the light horse is a pony, the heavy boned can be draft or cob but mostly they are cobs. Should I keep the new breed standard size horse? Thanks all, Kat

This is my first art drawing of a horse that's more realistic than my other characters that I own.

Plus, since I adore this old girl (she is 40yrs old on this game, it's astounding) I just needed to let my creativity out on her and this is what I made.

I'm very proud of what I created.

Also, any critique feedback is helpful! It lets me learn and adjust any incorrections on the anatomy of what I used from experience.

Since most players use the discord now I have no idea if I'll get feedback here, or not. I don't use discord and feel types of ways about it in relation to this game, so I won't be on there.

I have had a bigger account for some time and this month my daily income dropped. As to be expected when not playing the game.

I'm at a crossroads. Do I start playing again and continue to have to change what and how I'm breeding/playing constantly or do I let all my horses mostly die off and, at some point, use my saved game funds and start basically all over once the game changes settle down for bit?

That leaves me wondering will there be a point the changes will slow down?

Any input is welcomed. Thanks.

Hi everyone!

I am stuck at home for the foreseeable future after a car accident and this game has been really helpful as a distraction but I will admit I’m starting to get bored with what I’ve been doing. I have used other games in the past where I’ve hit a stalemate with my projects and something that was super helpful was finding someone with similar breeding goals and tag teaming breeding to meet them faster.

This could look like whatever you are comfortable with but what I am looking for is someone who is working towards breeding a triple star/gold foal. I am not picky on breed, height, era, any of that but most of my stock is E0 and double star/gold and I have a mix of light/medium/heavy boned horses. I have some fantasy/closed genes (mushroom, ice 19, jewel box, onyx, DFP2, and platinum) and a lot of S+, sa, KP, and DFP1. I would be able to trade straws, foals, mares, studs, and I could do custom pairs but I don’t have my premium right now so I can’t do multiple egg pulls or embryo trades. I am also open to buying or selling stock (I have a lot of foals from projects I started but lost interest in that passed BA and are gold/star or double gold/double star that I don’t have much of a use for)

"Passed Foal" Ratios. Numbers Discussion.

I am curious if anyone else has the math for their 2nd gen foundation x foundation crosses for this season as to their ratios of "passed" foals. I'm not sure if I'm terribly unlucky this season, or if I had higher expectations than I should have with my Era 7 foundation crosses.

120 foals bred so far. All of them perfect foundation x perfect foundation crosses. All straw breedings.
39 Passed SBA and Papered B/Red. I feel like that's pretty reasonable at about 30%.

I then went through and comparison tested those 39 foals to my maxed Era 5 2nd gen benchmark mare and stallion.
Only 2 out of the 39 comparison tested as good as the maxed benchmarks. One of those was a foal that I had maxed, so throwing that out it's 1 out of 39. That's leaves me with less than 1% of the entire foal crop that comparison tested at the top end of what's possible at 2nd generation. Which seems really low.

I had hoped to try out something different with this Era 7 herd, keeping only foals as good as my benchmarks. But leaving me with only 2 candidates kinda throws a wrench in that whole plan. So now I'm scratching my head as to if I screwed up or what to do from here.

What would it be?

I want to do the over saturated Amber Champaign that I love so much. I’m wondering if a g/g/ch/ch/gr/gr would get or keep that saturation. The bright gold look only really happens in the first year. I don’t know I want Amber or gold champagne or if that should be left to chance.

What are your tricks to be a good gifter?

There is a long very good thread about wishlists and being a good gifter above (which is worthwhile reading) but I want us to chatter and get excited in a less formal way.

Help me remember what I want to do as a gifter!

All:
1) Tack horses, including backgrounds. I make a default and copy it on to each one. Go through the barn and make sure the tack fits their theme.
2) Name horses something cute or useful. I go with cute. I think about a naming scheme — If I get Lady Hawke, she’s getting Hawk themed horse names. Blue Mesa, it’s all wicked. Ammnit, cybernetics.
3) Add a note saying it’s a GE gift and I hope they like it. Add in why this horse if applicable.

I’ll also need to find helpers (flamingos) for my giftee as I don’t have fantasy genes.

If you are going to spend real money - which isn’t required - I recommend a barn early. Many people don’t have space for a GE influx of horses. If you give someone 50 rank specials where will they put it? If you don’t have cash or hbs for this, don’t stress. They’ll figure it out.
