Foal Count Question

I know you can see archived foals on a stud’s page, but what about foals sold back to the game/ sold to the Hunt&Jump auction bidder?
Do they still count to the total?
One of my studs had 44 foals from very early this season and now, of those 44, less than 15 are still in the game and showing up? Other people have bred to him but I want to know if those 44 horses will still count?
This might be a stupid question, but I’m curious to know if there’s anyway to see those lost foals in the total count.AmberHaven300 (she/her)

I think so? I phrased it sorta weird…
@Ammit, so my stallion (AH Lion X Charge) has about 730 foals.
If people were to sell some of his foals back to the game, does that total 730 go down? Or do the foals that “don’t exist” anymore still contribute to the total number of 730?
