Differences between clones
-
Is it normal/expected for clones to have different PT than the horse they were cloned from? I cloned a 15 PT mare, that was already max quality and the foal was 14.7 PT, and 14.7 again even after GMT for consistency which I thought would bump the clone up a little. The FAQ page says we don’t need to max clones? I don’t have many GMTs so I can’t afford to waste them figuring this out.

From the cloning page "Clones will be genetically identical to the original horse but will have some slight visual, and training variations. "
Clones don't have identical training ability (PT) to the original horse.
You don't need to max clones. You don't breed PT and it is not inheritable. The breeding ability is identical to the original.Need to contact me? Read this first.
I sometimes get busy and miss things. If your private message, question, etc. gets missed please ping me so I can follow up with you. I am also always happy to explain or clarify. (HAJ does not have a customer service email, please send me a forum message! )
