Breeding for Increased White Factor
-
I just started my herd over (again…) and all my foundation horses have light or minimal white factor. It got me thinking and I’m wondering if eventually I could breed up to medium, large, etc. like increasing PT scores or paper level over time? Or if I have to GMT a higher white factor on a couple mares I haven’t bred yet.

There's multiple things influencing white factor, but you can breed for it. On Forest, I like splash, but not Too Much splash, and by selecting for stallions with minimal or light white Factor, that dominates my herd despite the presence of splash and sabino.HJ1: Chateau Albere-239543

You can breed for it. I breed W1/W1 (and expanding into W1/everythingkit) and I have to have none or minimal white factor for foals to survive.
