Maxed and tests superior, but didn't pass SBA?

I was under the impression if a maxed foal tested superior then they would pass SBA. However I have a stud that is superior and is maxed but didn't pass SBA.

*edit* I unaltered him, so it shows as "(untested)"
Also I have a different stud, sired by the same stud, who I maxed and tested sup and he passed SBA.
What am I missing? Any help understanding this is greatly appreciated. -
What’s the order? Did you max, con, and hope and then they failed sba?

SBA was very last, like last night lol I wasn't going to test him because he's bootstrapped but curiosity got the best of me. And the other boy passed so that was kind of reason enough to "go for it"
