Upgrade renewal?

    Saw my IV basic upgrade was due to run out in a month, so I purchased more IVs and bought another year's basic upgrade.

    I thought the new upgrade would be stacked on top of the current one (IE, add 365 days to it), but instead it shows the two upgrades as separate - the old one listed as 'active: n'. The old upgrade still has 20-something days on it. What happens to those days?
