Sable champagne vs. amber champagne

    C Circle in the Sand

    This horse has nearly identical primary and secondary DNA sets, the only difference is AA in the first one and Aa in the second one. Both EE AA and EE Aa = bay. However, the color characteristic says one part of this chimera is a sable champagne and the other one is amber champagne. How is that possible? Am I misunderstanding something?

    E and A also contribute to the final shade on bay-based horses. Dark bays aka browns are called sable with champagne. The Aa was enough to push this horse into being brown on that strand.
