Is this a bug or a gene thing?
-
So my stallion just spontaneously became a roan and I want to make sure this isn't some gene thing that I missed and truly a bug before I report it.

THat is not roan. Roan is its own set of alleles. LP is what is causing the roaning aka varnishing. It is progressive whitening over time as the horse ages so he'll get more and more varnishing over time. You'll get a "new" horse each season! It's one of the fun things of working with the leopard complex!TheBlueMoors ID 78
