A foal is futurity eligible when it is the same era as the sire, and the sire is a horse you don’t own. When the foal meets the criteria, there will be an option on the control page of the horse that you can click to Futurity Lock the horse. A pop up will ask you to confirm. The horse cannot be sold back to the game until it is 6 years old when it is locked. I hope this helps and please ask any clarifying questions! :)
