What is your daily bonus?
-
I can’t say that I truly understood how low my daily bonus was until I saw some of the new quests/achievements.
I’ve managed to grow it a good bit here in the last little bit to 118,000hbs a day.
I’m super curious what the average bonus is for everyone and if you are still trying to grow it or happy to maintain where you are?
Any tips for growing it longer term?
I’ve bred some higher PT bootstrap foals this season to show and I’m hopeful that will help long term.ID# 1180 -
Currently at 663,000 and still actively working to raise it. I don’t bid on higher pt ponies in auction anymore unless they have not been bid on. I do check the sales often and buy anything that I can turn a profit on at age 10 if needed. I keep any 13.5+ and turn them in to show horses, and sell any 10+ years that are not at 500pts. Personal preference and to make room when I didn’t have a lot of space.Thanked by 1Walywoohoo

This account is fairly small compared to my forest account, and I only receive a daily payout of about 8k, which sucks, but I've got a ton of high PT babies that are just racking up points right now, so hopefully I'll see an increase. I bid on high pointed horses in the auction when I can afford it, but haven't quite gotten a good collection yet.Hi! I go by Delta! They/Them pronouns. Thank you both for sharing! I’m super hopeful for my high PT goals/2yos in the future.ID# 1180

Currently 792,329 and not *actively* growing it. Actually haven't been trying to grow it at all since 400k ish.
It honestly smacks you in the face when you realize your daily bonus is that much. It's super slow but also super fast somehow. It's slow in the beginning and starts speeding up since more show horses = more bonus = more barns = more show horses.
I keep all the horses that I can. Any foals I breed that will not become breeders, I shove them in a barn and forget about them. And I show everyone twice a week. I don't aim for high pt foals or anything, I simply *never* sell or auction foals. Of course, high pt horses will earn better, but the lower pt ones will still earn. When I'm low on space, I start at the 10+ year olds and sell the lower-pointed ones. When I had a lower daily bonus, every 1st day of the month, I would auction any 10+ year olds with under 500 points. At some point, I reached a spot where I had enough space to just never sell any of my show horses.
I rarely check the auction/sales, but this is what I do:
10+ year olds: will bid if at their minimum price and is over 900 points
1-9 year olds: greater than 400 points, and the bid is not larger than their lifetime payout.
Buy any horse that is listed at a sale price lower/equal to their lifetime payout (foundation rescue is amazing)
Buying some 9 year olds for cheap to sell the next month is a nice way to boost your current hbs.
This is long, but hope it helps!
TLDR; keep all your foals and auction your low pointed 10+ year olds if necessaryDarkPhoenix #15470 (she/her) ~ Premium Upgrade
Barns always open!Thanked by 1Arayla -
I'm at 152,000 a day. Definitely still need to grow it! I am to the point where when a show barn is full I buy a new barn and start filling it instead of selling off horses to make space.
I really just rely on my own breeding to produce show horses. I find I don't have much extra time to comb the sales board or auctions for good deals on high point horses.
A good way to get a little bump at a bargain is to pickup foundation rescues that are a little older and have a chunk of points accumulated.Ramshorn Ranch

I’m at about 61k daily… that’s not a lot but enough for me.
I’m always adding (and subtracting) from my daily show payout, and there’s a few times I just forget to go shopping.
I usually keep any super high PT babies and I also look for high pointed horses who are usually younger in age (4-5 ish). :)AmberHaven300 (she/her)

I’m at 328,000hb a day. Not really actively trying to grow it, I just keep everything that I can.

I'm at roughly 111k, I'm out of space but am trying to grow it, just ran out of hbs at the moment. I've been lurking around the sales for a couple months as I don't usually stay on for the auction, except during the GE when the funds are usually coming in with the RS and gifts. The bulk of my earners are usually foundations that I've snagged for the entirety of my stay here HGG. I'm also planning to have high PT earners by the time the new era comes. But I'm still focused on breeding blue papered mares, though I am easily distracted.Mesa: #26941 (Sol844)

I agree with Khisanth (and my daily is about the same).

My highest was almost 800k when I was actively trying to grow it.
I keep everything. And rarely buy horses for my own show herd anymore.
I'm also below where I want to be income wise but the game has taken a back seat. I also am comfortable enough I can trade large amounts and I'm not worried about it.
I think players don't give foundation horses enough credit. Some amazingly high earning horses have been foundations, including gmt winners for showing. In my experience.
If you don't have room, yeah sell 10 year olds, however if you have room, keep them.Thanked by 1Arayla
