How do I buy a gene for my SS that I don't have?

I want to buy one of the restricted genes for my SS but I don't have it myself (and don't really need it myself). Before we had to put it on one of their horses but can we do it some other way? If the gene they want comes up on the random sales I would like to pick it up, or is Ammit going to do all the genes for sale just before Christmas? Many thanksDinascar on Forest server
