I've just read the new News and Alerts about showing for this month.

If you can enter extra shows just after midnight, game time tonight you can also super boost your odds for leaderboard wins this season.

Have we just had about 24 hours notice on a rule change that will affect showing for this month? What is meant by just after midnight, 15 minutes, an hour?

To be honest Ammit, I'm not very pleased that I've had less than a days notice, during the holiday season, that I will have to be up at five in the morning my time to enter my leaderboard horses in more shows to ensure I get the GMTs that would normally have been paid out. Doesn't feel very festive.

What happens for members that think they have completed their showing for this season and might not log in until tomorrow, especially after we have been encouraged to spend less time on this game and more time with our families at the start of the month?

Also, now the forum page displays your own time zone and not the game time, I'm not sure if there is anywhere that shows what game time is. I only know the conversion because I was online for Appy Hour last night and could work it out.

I hate to complain about things like this, but I think this might upset more players than just myself.

There has been zero rule changes. This is how it has always worked. Just because you did not know that leaderboards don't run at midnight does not mean I changed anything.

I am just trying to be nice and let members know how things work. This post makes me feel attacked for simply trying to help members who know less about how the leaderboard works get a shot. This was a nasty assumption to make about me, when I go out of my way to communicate changes to the game and include members in the conversation about critical changes.

Click on your name in the upper right of the screen. That is where you all your important game stats are including the current game time.

Sorry Ammit, I thought I had worded this gently, I was upset but certainly didn't want to attack you.

I've never seen this expressly stated anywhere before or mentioned by other members when they have been advising newbies.

If this is how the leaderboards work, please can we have this explicitly stated somewhere? As currently the Understanding the Leaderboards FAQ is worded ambiguously.

For the best odds, make sure your horses are shown the maximum number of times possible before awards go out on the 28th.

If this had been a clear rule or guideline, no upset would have been caused to anyone.

It's always been this way. I think adding "after midnight" caused confusion. Horses can be shown 2x a week. Meaning if the 28th lands on Sunday (looking at days of the week vs time of day) you could get the first showing of this week in just after midnight. However when this is done you "give up" a showing for the next month. You have to look at how the week days land withing the month.

If you showed 2x a week and once after midnight you'd have 9 shows the leaderboard would count points for, for December.

If you show 2x a week next month you can have 10 shows the leaderboards will counts points for.

There was a player who went over this before, they don't play any more.
