We have finished our programing work to allow you to use the manes and tails of any BC onto any other BC.

There will be 6 tack packs you can purchase to unlock these manes and tails. I have grouped all our BCs by neck shape. That way when you unlock one of these packs most of the manes can be shared between the BCs featured in the pack.

Straight-Set Neck: Thoroughbred, Mule
Already Out - Balanced Neck: Ranch Horse, East Bulgarian, Irish Draught, Percheron (Same neck shape as the National BCs)
Already Out! - Expressive Neck: Dutch Warmblood, Akhal-Teke, Saddlebred, Saddle Seat, Polish Arabian
Defined Neck: Pura Raza Española, Curly Horse, Crabbet Arabian, Miniature Horse
Regal Neck: Friesian, Traditional Cob, Suffolk Punch
Fantasy BCs: Zephyrus, Seapony, Infernal, Ponpon, Warden

The first two are already available. The remaining 4 will come out in January.


You can unlock these for all horses you own by going to "Advanced Facilities" in navigation then Tack Pack Manager. Click on "Expressive Manes and Tails" or "Balanced Manes and Tails" to open the tack pack. Each pack is priced based on the number of items it contains. When I add new BCs to the game, they will go into one of these 6 packs and the price of that pack will go up accordingly. This is the cheapest these packs will be so buying them as early as you can is a good idea to lock in lowest possible price on these.

Using these packs
These packs come with a preset mane, preset tail, custom mane, and custom tail options. Most BCs also have a custom forelock item.

Preset manes and tails replace the default mane or tail of your horse. Access them by clicking the Mane or Tail tabs in the tack editor then the "Choose Mane" or "Choose Tail" button.

They are automatically colored using the mesh for your horse. You will probably need to use the rotate and scale options to get these into position and looking nice. Preset manes do not come with forelocks because they would never fit the alternate BCs. If you want a forelock you will need to use a custom one.

Custom manes, tails, and forelocks do not replace the default mane and tail. They instead are added like a tack item and you set the color. You can use them to cover up existing manes and tails, or move the original manes and tails off screen to replace them with custom color ones. All forlocks must be manually added, if you want to use the forelock from a different BC.



Premium Exclusive
Our original intentional was to gate these manes and tails behind unlocking the BCs but instead these packs will be premium only features. Anyone can purchase the packs but you must have a premium upgrade to use these items on your horses.

I would love it if people would post what creative designs they come up with below. It is amazing how much changing the hair can change the look of a BC.
