Random Breeding Question
-
I bred a lot of draft mares to one draft stallion I had purchased and like 30% of the foals came out warmblood. The studs parents were also draft and my mares are all foundation drafts. Is this normal?

Sounds like your stud has very low bone weight. He is very close to being a warmblood.Need to contact me? Read this first.

I’m not sure if this is the best place to ask, but I’m going through my barn to find the best of the best for breeding by doing the comparison tests of my unaltered mates/stallions after the breeding advice. But one of the options on the comparison test is ‘Reining Edition SF’. I don’t own any horses with that name, is it like a community standard to compare to?
Thanks in advance! -
Always best to make your own post in the future.
The horse is the sire or dam of the horse you are talking about. You can always compare a horse to their same gender parent even if you don't own the parent.Need to contact me? Read this first.
