GT/ Now Diamond Token Question
  • I was looking at the upgrade page for the new Diamond token (GT) and noticed this:

“ Diamond Tokens to do special things in the game. Using Diamond Tokens you can:
~ Set the "bred this year" count to zero on your horses.“

Does this mean that mares could be flushed a second time? Does anyone know how to do this?
I’m SO excited to think it might be possible to breed a mare more than once.

  • Good on you for paying attention. That feature is not out just yet but will be very soon. It was easier for me to just add it to the list yesterday so I did not forget.

  • That’s super exciting!
Could I suggest also considering Tokens to restore pasture bonus?
I know I’m not the only one that’s bad about forgetting my pasture mares in a barn.

  • I can do a token to set a pasture's count to 30 days.

However don't leave them in the barn. There is never a reason too. They don't need to be in the barn for any reason. If you move them out to show put them back immediately. Don't wait for the shows to run.

  • Ive stopped showing my pasture mare but bring them in to implant embryos and then forget them overnight.
    ID# 1180
  • There is no reason to take them out of the pasture to implant embryos with them. They show up on the implant list while in pasture.

  • Honestly… I don’t know my herd well enough to be able to pick them out of the list. I bring them in and then use the barn search list to implant embryos I’ve already created.
    ID# 1180
  • You can use the search link in the pasture as well.

Also most people put a z at the start of implant mare names so they show up first on the mare implant list.

  • Good to know but I believe I haven’t been able to “in house breed” to implant in mares from their pages if they are located in a pasture? I have to transfer them to a barn and then back.

  • I go from the embryo page, click on the desired embryo (one of the parents) and then go to breeding tab, and implant. You can select your pasture mares from the drop down list there.

There’s probably a better way to do it but I haven’t figured it out yet lol.
  • You don't use in house breeding you use the embryo implantation option (bottom of the breed tab on the parent's page) . You don't need to take them out of the pasture I promise.

  • I’ll investigate! Thank you for the information.

  • Could you add a text box to input a horse id instead of a dropdown? And could you do the same on a stallion breeding page? It’s the same issue there.
  • @Ammit is there an option to restore pasture bonus now… I’ve officially left 200 recips out already…

  • Why did you have them out?

It is unlikely I will have that done before the end of the breeding season.

  • The same thing happened to me, @Arayla. I pulled them out for only a few minutes to show, but since I normally play late at night, it was 11 PM for me, but midnight in-game, so they lost their bonuses. :(
  • I have also managed to do that.
I’m a first responder… and have more than once pulled them out and immediately gotten side tracked by work…

  • @Arayla Me too! Doesn't help that I do 24-hour shifts on the weekend, so things really do get sidetracked sometimes....
  • How does this reset breeding to zero actually works?
    1. Can I do a mass egg flush, use 1 GMT and then do another egg flush immediately?
    2. Or is there additional time to wait (5 days?) like with single egg collection?
    3. Is there a limit to flushes per year?
  • There is no limited to flushes per year. A mare has to be collectable in order for you to flush her again. I don't believe mass flushing a mare causes her to have a cool down counter but can not guarantee that for you.

  • @Ammit how would you recommend handling showing for pastures? I currently do both showings right away on Sundays, except for the last or first week, depending on where the 28th and the 1st fall. I move as many as I can into one barn, show, and then wait about 20 minutes until the show flag comes back, then show them again and move them back to pasture right away ( I used to wait until the E was gone but you shared we didn’t need to which has been lovely. I do a little sorting at this time, adding Z to the beginning of the name once they hit 30 days. I suppose I could show on two different days, but I have a lot and figured since they are in the barns might just do both showings. Is there a better process I am missing?
  • I too would like to know this, I try to show my mares first and then place them in my pastures, which make the mares much older before I use them in pasture breeding.

  • I keep telling people to put your mares immediately back in the pasture. Do not wait for the shows to run. Better to come back and move them out of the pasture again and put them back again, then to risk leaving them out.

Best of all don't take them out ever, but I know some people need the points.

  • Here is my direct recommendation:

    1. Have a spare empty barn that will hold ALL the mares in your pasture.

    2. Go to your pasture and click the check box to SELECT ALL your mares. Transfer them to the empty, dedicated barn.

    3. Immediately go to that barn, use the check box to SELECT ALL your mares. Enter them into shows this way from the bottom of the barn page.

    4. AS SOON AS the page refreshes and they are showing the little "E" for entered, SELECT ALL your mares again and transfer all of them at once back to the pasture.

This takes me less than a minute now that I am used to the process.
  • Exactly this.
