Hey everyone,
I’m currently in search of barns who would be interested in helping me raise one of my studs on the Futurity boards by doing some extra breeding.

My stud, Lion Charger III, is a completely closed stud to the public, basically meaning that he is a private stud, and that any breeding is considered to be “private breeding.” As he is also a double boosted stud, I can’t breed to him myself to boost him on the boards. That’s where I need the help — I’m looking for only a few barns who would be interested in breeding and Futurity locking high show quality foals from him. There would mostly likely be the requirement of maxing and making each foal perfectly consistent too.

In return, each season I will send free unlimited straws to barns to keep producing and Futurity locking foals. I plan to send 10 or 15 straws each time, and then for more, you will have to private message me again to let me know you’re ready for another round.

Like I said, I’m only looking for a few more barns, because I already have 1 Private breeder and they’re absolutely amazing for helping me test run this project for the first time (Thank you @Arayla!), and it was just a fun little idea I had to help my private stud.

There are a few things that I prefer each foal being, and I would absolutely love to keep any breeders along these guidelines when breeding:
- I prefer foals to be 14.5+ PT (I know you can’t control this but since Charger is a double boosted horse, you kinda need better breeding stock to produce foals that will do better on the boards).
- This also correlates with my next point; Charger has a higher AFPT compared to ReCharge, and as a Private stud, I intend to keep it on the higher side. I have a double boosted mare that follows this same restriction (majority of her foals are 15 PT or higher [because of cloning]). And of course, I’ll probably send some of those double boosted embryos to barns who are helping me out.
- I also prefer barns who have their own breeding horses (specifically that are double boosted), or even have access to higher quality mares to breed with. Like I mentioned before, it just works so much smoother in my opinion. If on the other hand you don’t have the money/GMT flow to support a project this big, but you have the horses, I will most definitely work something out with you so that I send just a few straws at a time (which have zero expiration) so that you can build up on foals who will start to win you GMTs (or HBs if you sell the locked foals) to support even more foals in the future.
- And then finally, all foals should be futurity locked. All straws don’t have an expiration so it would be super helpful if barns wanting to get the free straws don’t hoard them (And yes, I know I’m a hoarder when it comes to straws too). This is simply easier so then I will never run out of straws to send to barns, and all barns will still benefit from this.
