How does the straws limit work?

    Hi there!
    I always thought that the straw limit is per year pulled, for example I can pull 500 straws in year 72, then again 500 in year 73. Is this not how it works?
    My stallions currently show non-zero number of maximum straws pulled even though I haven't pulled any straws this year. Is this a bug?

    He has 7 straws in other members possession. You can only have 500 total. I place expirations on straws so those who by them are forced to either use them or loose them. So when the time comes before my stud ages out I can pull what I want to save. Do I pull 500 straws, no, but some are inclined to. Haha.

    I do admit, I horde straws to use later especially when I get sidetracked or wander away from the game.

    Straw hordes can be a real PTA for sellers so I am a big fan of only selling with expiration.
