Issue with Closed Gene and Breeding

    Hi all, so I'm having an issue breeding my stallion, Ultra Deep Field. He was given to me by @ConfluenceRanch in a contest several months ago. He has the Splash M gene, which I currently do not have the license for, but it's on his second DNA strand which is at 0% inheritance, so I have been able to breed him.

    For some reason though, this month I haven't been able to breed him. When I try I get this message:

    "The sire or dam of this horse has a closed gene which you do not own the license for (Splash M). You must purchase a foundation horse with this gene to breed it."

    You will need to own the licenses to breed this horse. There was a bug where it was not checking second DNA strands and now it properly is. You should not have been able to purchase the horse. Do you have two GMTs? I can gmt off the SpM for you for that. :)

    @Ammit I am going to GMT SWM onto another one of her horses- will that work to give her the license?

    EDIT: nevermind, I won’t be able to buy her horse to GMT it and it’s not currently for sale. Oh well.

    You can not purchase a license for another player via the GMT lab. That only works if you buy it with USD.

    @Ammit, Okay I bought 2 GMTs through IVs. Do I need to "sell" him to you or can you do wizard magic in the background? Just let me know what I need to do now. Thanks!
